1. Service Agreement
These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement made between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity ("you") and AutoWorks Ltd ("we," "us" or "our"), concerning your use of our automotive repair and maintenance services.
By engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services.
2. Service Appointments
2.1 Booking Appointments - Appointments can be made via our website, by phone, or in person. All appointments are subject to availability.
2.2 Cancellation Policy - We require at least 24 hours' notice for cancellation or rescheduling of appointments. Late cancellations may incur a fee of up to 50% of the scheduled service cost.
2.3 Arrival Time - We request that you arrive on time for your scheduled appointment. If you are more than 15 minutes late, we may need to reschedule your appointment.
3. Services and Pricing
3.1 Estimates - All price estimates are valid for 14 days. We will provide written estimates for all services exceeding £100.
3.2 Additional Work - If additional repairs are determined to be necessary during service, we will contact you for approval before proceeding.
3.3 Pricing Changes - Prices are subject to change without notice. The final price will be the price in effect at the time the service is performed.
3.4 Minimum Charges - A minimum labor charge of 1 hour may apply to certain diagnostic and repair services.
4. Payment Terms
4.1 Accepted Payment Methods - We accept payment by credit card, debit card, cash, and bank transfer.
4.2 Payment Timing - Full payment is due upon completion of services and before the release of your vehicle.
4.3 Deposits - For major repairs (exceeding £500), we may require a 50% deposit before commencing work.
4.4 Outstanding Balances - Vehicles with outstanding balances may be subject to storage fees of £25 per day after 7 days.
5. Warranties and Guarantees
5.1 Parts Warranty - New parts installed by AutoWorks are covered by a 12-month or 12,000-mile warranty, whichever occurs first, unless otherwise specified.
5.2 Labor Warranty - Our workmanship is guaranteed for 6 months or 6,000 miles, whichever occurs first.
5.3 Warranty Exclusions - Warranties do not cover damage resulting from accidents, abuse, neglect, or failure to perform recommended maintenance.
5.4 Manufacturer Warranties - Some services may be covered by the vehicle manufacturer's warranty. It is your responsibility to verify warranty coverage before authorizing repairs.
6. Customer Responsibilities
6.1 Vehicle Condition - Please remove all valuable personal belongings from your vehicle before service. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
6.2 Vehicle Information - You are responsible for providing accurate information about your vehicle's make, model, history, and known issues.
6.3 Authorization - You warrant that you are the owner of the vehicle or authorized by the owner to commission the services.
7. Liability Limitations
7.1 Service Limitations - We will use reasonable efforts to complete services in a timely manner, but do not guarantee completion times.
7.2 Consequential Damages - We shall not be liable for any indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of use, loss of profit, or inconvenience.
7.3 Maximum Liability - Our total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
8. Vehicle Abandonment
8.1 Definition - A vehicle is considered abandoned if left on our premises for more than 30 days after service completion without payment arrangements.
8.2 Disposition - Abandoned vehicles may be sold or otherwise disposed of in accordance with applicable laws to recover outstanding charges.
9. Privacy and Data
9.1 Information Collection - We collect and store information necessary to provide our services, including vehicle records and customer contact details.
9.2 Data Usage - Customer information may be used for service reminders, marketing communications, and internal record-keeping.
9.3 Third Parties - We do not sell customer data to third parties but may share information with service partners as necessary to complete requested services.
10. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.
